A fast, restrained documentation and knowledge-base block theme with a sticky sidebar, clean code styling, and system-font typography.

== Description ==

Ledger Docs is a full-site-editing (block) theme built for documentation and knowledge bases: plugin and theme handbooks, open-source project docs, and internal team wikis. It pairs a sticky sidebar navigation with clear code-block styling, search-friendly archives, and fluid system-font typography.

Everything is editable in the Site Editor. There are no bundled plugins, no page builder, no tracking, and no external font or CDN requests. Type is set in native system font stacks, so pages load fast and stay private. The theme ships a light and dark palette with duotone filters, and every color is chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast against its intended background.

Accessibility is built in: a skip link, visible keyboard focus, semantic header, main, and footer landmarks, and prefers-reduced-motion support.

== Installation ==

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Themes and click Add New.
2. Click Upload Theme and choose the ledger-docs.zip file, or search for Ledger Docs in the theme directory.
3. Click Install, then Activate.
4. Go to Appearance > Editor to set your logo, build the documentation navigation menu, and edit templates.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= How do I build the sidebar documentation menu? =
Open the Site Editor, edit any template (for example Single), select the vertical Navigation block in the left sidebar, and add your pages or custom links. The same menu can be reused across templates.

= Does the theme load Google Fonts or any external assets? =
No. Ledger Docs uses only system font stacks and loads no remote fonts, scripts, or styles. This keeps it fast and GDPR-friendly.

= Does it support dark mode? =
The theme ships a palette and duotone filters designed to read well on light and dark surfaces. You can adjust colors in the Site Editor under Styles.
