¿Es seguro activar WP_DEBUG en un sitio en producción?

Solo con WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY en false. Por sí solo, WP_DEBUG imprime los avisos y advertencias de PHP, incluidas las rutas absolutas de los archivos de tu servidor, directamente en las páginas que cargan tus visitantes. Casi todos los tutoriales te dan esa línea y se paran ahí. Combínalo con WP_DEBUG_LOG y WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY en false y es seguro.

¿Dónde va el debug log de WordPress?

En wp-content/debug.log por defecto. Conviene saberlo: en muchos hostings ese archivo se puede solicitar públicamente; cualquiera puede pedirlo en un navegador. Puedes pasar una ruta a WP_DEBUG_LOG en su lugar y escribir el log por encima de la raíz web, algo que esta herramienta te generará.

Puse WP_DEBUG en true y no pasó nada. ¿Por qué?

Casi siempre porque la constante se añadió DEBAJO de la línea que dice "That's all, stop editing!" en wp-config.php. Todo lo que va después de esa línea se ignora. Muévela por encima.
