wp-config.php can raise WordPress's own memory limit, but it cannot raise PHP's upload_max_filesize — that is a PHP directive, not a WordPress one. If your host locks PHP settings, no amount of wp-config editing will change the upload cap, and you will have to ask them.

Ho aumentato upload_max_filesize e non è cambiato niente. Perché?

Perché WordPress usa il PIÙ PICCOLO di tre valori: upload_max_filesize, post_max_size e memory_limit. Aumentarne uno mentre un altro resta basso non cambia nulla. post_max_size deve essere più grande di upload_max_filesize, perché il corpo della richiesta trasporta il file più il form che lo circonda.

wp-config.php può aumentare il limite di upload?

Solo in parte, e questo confonde molte persone. wp-config.php può aumentare il limite di memoria di WordPress, ma upload_max_filesize è una direttiva PHP che PHP ha di solito già finito di leggere nel momento in cui WordPress si carica. Se il tuo host blocca le impostazioni PHP, nessuna modifica a wp-config cambierà il limite.

Il mio host non mi lascia modificare php.ini. E ora?

Prova un file .user.ini nella tua web root — molti host condivisi lo leggono. Se anche questo fallisce, il limite è imposto al di sopra del tuo account e solo il tuo host può cambiarlo. Chiediglielo; di solito è un ticket da una riga.
